People living with asthma and other lung diseases fight for air everyday. The American Lung Association in Vermont's new Bolton Valley Walk/Run on Sat. Sept 4th 2010 is a spin off from our traditional Walk-it's now a vertical 5k that will follow access roads to a finish at the top. At the finish you'll not only feel good about what you just accomplished, but you'll see the first wind turbine at a Vermont Ski Area. This turbine will generate about 300,000 kilowatt hours per year and is an example of a commitment to environmental initiatives by Bolton Valley.
Whether you want to run like mad, or inhale the fabulous panorama at your own pace, you don't want to miss this unique event! All participants will receive a bib number and timing chip. Awards will be presented to the fastest team and fastest participants in various age groups directly following the event.
All participants will enjoy a relaxing ride back down to the bottom via chair lift. So, bring your family to cheer you on. You will Walk away with a newfound respect for your lungs!
