Special attention is given to developing a quitting strategy, dealing with recovery symptoms, controlling weight, managing stress through relaxation, assertiveness techniques, proper use of smoking cessation medications and staying off cigarettes.

Freedom From Smoking is also available free online (www.FFSonline.org) for those who are unable to attend a clinic. Activities are similar to those offered during the class-setting and participants can even chat online with others who are taking the online version.
