Better Breathers Clubs
Helping to meet the challenges that
chronic lung disease brings to daily life...

What is a Better Breathers Club?
A group of people helping people.

The Better Breathers Club provides an opportunity for lung disease patients and their families to meet and learn about their condition from concerned health care professionals in a supportive environment.

You will:
  • Learn about chronic lung disease
  • Become part of a sharing and caring group that seeks solutions to daily living concerns
  • Have an opportunity to share concerns, problems, questions and triumphs
  • Develop positive coping skills
  • Share in social gatherings with other families touched by lung disease

Who may join the Better Breathers Clubs?
Anyone with a chronic pulmonary disease, such as asthma, emphysema, COPD, bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis or alpha-1 deficiency.
Family and friends are also welcome and encouraged to attend!

What is the cost?

The monthly meetings are FREE of charge.
Only your time and participation are required.

What are the meetings like?

Each meeting lasts approximately one hour and is facilitated by a group leader, who plans information and activities for each meeting on a topic relative to the group.
Light refreshments and socialization time is scheduled for most meetings.

Topics for meetings include; breathing techniques, exercise, nutrition, home health care, medications, stress management, working with your physician, life saving procedures and much, much more!
