Presented by the American Lung Association of the Southeast and
the Thoracic Societies of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina

October 2-4, 2009
Ponte Vedra Inn Conference Center
Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

You are invited to attend - this conference is one of the country's oldest and most highly regarded post-graduate education programs of thoracic medicine and surgery.  Attended by pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons, the conference focuses on clinical topics in thoracic disease using the consecutive case conference format.  To achieve our learning objectives of improved evaluation and treatment of patients with lung disease, faculty provide a brief presentation of each case and the moderator leads an incisive discussion of patient management in light of both current literature and contemporary practice. In addition, our guest speakers deliver state-of-the-art lectures and serve as consultants to the program.

This year's program will include presentations by Guest Speakers Daniel Paul Davis, MD, FACEP, University of California, San Diego and Sam Cykert, MD, University of North Carolina.  Friday afternoon sessions include a Surgery vs Medicine Pro/Con Debate - Stenting in Benign Airway Disease and David Schulman, MD, Emory University, will moderate the fellows' case presentations.

On Saturday evening a casual dinner will be hosted at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's Surf Club Patio and we look forward to receiving your R.S.V.P.

An excellent program has been planned and we hope you will attend.
