Help those in need

April 26, 2010
Dear Friend, Spring has finally arrived! This means different things to all of us in the community. To those of us with asthma it means managing our condition while enjoying the great outdoors. What better way to keep active and support a healthy life style than biking. Enter the Trek Across Maine!
The Trek is a vital part of the Maine Lung Association's funding. The 180 mile bicycle event winds its way from Bethel to Waterville to Belfast on Penobscot Bay. Over 2000 riders are expected to help raise the much needed funds to continue the fight against lung disease here in Maine. From educational programs helping to keep children from second hand smoke to research on all fronts, the Trek is our engine for progress.
Not all people have the time, physical ability, or the means to participate in a fund raising event as challenging as the Trek. I have accepted the physical challenge as well as the fund raising responsibility. This year will be my sixth Trek.
Please consider making a pledge to this very important cause.
Sincerely yours,
Bobbie Masse Treker # 126
