Dear friend,
It's been seventeen years since I last did my first Trek across Maine. I am proud to say I am in better shape now than I was them! Getting grayer is a strong motivation to take care of ones health and well being. All kidding aside, the Trek is a vital part of the Maine Lung Association?s funding. The 180 mile bicycle event winds its way from Bethel to Waterville to Belfast on Penobscot Bay. Over 2000 riders are expected to help raise the much needed funds to continue the fight against lung disease here in Maine. From educational programs helping to keep children from second hand smoke to research on all fronts, the Trek is our engine for progress.
Not all people have the time, physical ability or means to participate in a fund raising event as demanding as the Trek. I have accepted the physical challenge as well as the fund raising responsibility. I volunteer as well as ride the trek. A pledge of support would be very much appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
Matt Masse
