Help me SAVE LIVES!
For most of my life I have suffered from chronic Asthma. I am lucky now that new advancements in Asthma medications have been able to keep it well controlled for many years. But growing up I experienced numerous trips to the hospital from severe Asthma attacks.

My most vivid memory was when I was twelve years old and woke up in the middle of the night from a severe Asthma attack. I barely made it out of my bedroom and into the hallway before my airways completely closed and I could not get any air into my lungs. All I could do was bang on the walls to wake up my parents so they could help me. Luckily they did wake up, and my Mom sprayed my rescue inhaler into my mouth and then forced it into my lungs using mouth-to-mouth while my Dad dialed 911. Obviously I made it through that terrifying ordeal, but what if I had been one of the thousands of people who cannot afford proper Asthma medications or treatments?

Asthma affects more than 22 million Americans and nearly 4,000 lives are cut short by this disease each year. To help MAKE AN IMPACT and save lives, I have signed up a team to participant in the American Lung Association's Orlando Asthma Walk on Saturday, May 8th 2010, at Lake Eola Park. We have set a team fundraising goal of $3000. I would appreciate your support in helping us reach this goal.
